I am thrilled to announced that another performance of my Coltrane Ballads Project has been scheduled!
On May 19th 2013, the Metropole Orkest will be presenting a concert in Amsterdam, celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Ballads”. The performance will feature renowned tenor saxophonist Joe Lovano. The orchestra will be conducted by composer Daniel Jamieson, and they will be premiering his reimagined arrangements of these classic standards. In addition to the “Ballads” program, they will be performing arrangements by Jim McNeely, Joe Lovano, Kenny Werner and Billy Strayhorn.
