Danjam Orchestra members William Carn & Tara Davidson will be releasing the first CD of a newly formed nonet, “Carn Davidson 9” on November 15th. This exciting new group features some of Canada’s finest players and brings a fresh take to large ensemble writing with original compositions from both Carn & Davidson. The absence of piano or guitar creates an open landscape over which soloists can explore. From the contemporary ‘Battle Scars’ to the more traditionally constructed ‘Out of Necessity’ the disc is loaded with compelling moments that will appeal to all.
